Why are almost all the questions in the Outdoor Recreation category about guns?

Question by B: Why are almost all the questions in the Outdoor Recreation category about guns?
There are other outdoor sports: camping, hiking, fishing, canoeing, rafting, mountain climbing, canyoneering, rock climbing, etc.
Do you think they should subdivide outdoor recreation so it would be easier to find relevant options?

well because stuff like hunting, airsoft, paintball, there all expensive. So most people ask, “is this a good deal, or “what is a good ______”, and there’s no were elso to fit guns, paintball, etc. I’s just a hot topic I guess…

Actually, most of the questions are about airsoft toys.

Because guns are freakin awesome son.

  3. WC says:

Gun are what people are interested in. There should be a “guns” category on Yahoo answers.

Well, there ARE camping climbing and fishing categories. But yeah, I dunno, it seems weird to me too. Don’t more people go camping than play with guns? So why is the camping section so slow? D:

Yahoo is run by politically correct people, so we can’t have a “firearms” section. Therefore, those of us interested in firearms have to use the “hunting” section. People who don’t realize this post questions about airsoft toys in the hunting section, so we “politely” (heh, yeah…) redirect them to this section, where they won’t be persecuted for asking which of their “airsoft snippur riffles” are better.

And if you go to the Outdoor Recreation category, you’ll see that there are Camping, Fishing, and Climbing categories.
